Is there "Tweak Mode" for animate state?

Edit SOP's viewer state has a feature called "Tweak Mode". To put it simply, it allows one to drag a point around without selecting it first.

APEX's animate state doesn't seem to have this feature, does it? For example, to change the value of an AbstractControl, one needs to select it by LMB-clicking it, release LMB, and then LMB-drag it.

I'd like to be able to drag an AbstractControl without selecting it first. Is it possible? RFE worthy?

It's quite confusing... it seems that there indeed is a feature similar to Tweak Mode, but it only works occasionally.

For example, in the sine elephant example, I need to select the AbstractControl first with the final APEX Scene Animate, but I can just drag it with the APEX AutoRig Component.

EDIT: Found it (press P)
