3 Triplanar SOP → Attribute VOP: how to blend for proper dis June 25, 2025, 3:37 p.m.
Hi,
I have three Triplanar Displace SOP nodes with different displacement maps. I want to blend them inside an Attribute VOP, but I don’t understand how to mix them correctly so that the displacement actually works.
I’m working on a rocky island, and I need to use the displacement to push out rock shapes around the edges, while keeping the top of the island flat. But nothing I do inside Attribute VOP gives a proper result — either the geometry doesn't change at all, or the displacement is weak and noisy.
Can someone explain how to mix three Triplanar Displace SOPs inside Attribute VOP to get strong, sculpted displacement that works well along the island edges?
