As a Senior CG Generalist and VFX Supervisor, I bring over 20 years of experience to the visual effects industry, working on high-profile projects across film, television, and commercials. My extensive experience includes notable roles at companies like MPC Montréal, where I contributed as a Key FX Artist on productions such as House of the Dragon and Prehistoric Planet 2. More recently, I’ve been freelancing as a CG Supervisor at DexMob VFX, where I manage the entire process of creating complex VFX shots for a futuristic feature film, from green screen footage to final compositing. less

Vellum: Animate Constraint Stiffness Over Time After Initial July 5, 2025, 7:34 a.m.
Hi everyone,
I'm struggling to solve a specific setup and could use some help.
My goal is to gradually reduce the stretch stiffness of certain constraints over time — ideally between frames 15 and 25.
During the first 15 frames, I'm driving the geometry with an animation. After that, I want Vellum to progressively take over the simulation.
I've attached a few screenshots to show how I’m setting this up using a SOP Solver inside the DOP network.
If anyone has ideas or has dealt with a similar case — especially blending from an animated input to simulated Vellum constraints — I’d really appreciate your guidance.
Thanks in advance!
