Annotation in LOPs Feb. 16, 2026, 1:02 p.m.

Hello!
Trying to figure out how annotations can be made in Stage/Solaris.
I remembered that "Explore Variants" node had annotation feature that would place variant name in viewport next to the asset.
Tried to dive in to understand how it works, but have some difficulties understanding.
Looks like text is created by a regular Font node inside the SOPNET.

1. Cannot find the part when and how we are calling/merging that SOPNET back into the stage.
2. If i will create annotations using SOP Create. How to avoid adding that new component into out stage. Because the idea is to add annotation, not to create additional component in our Scene Graph.
3. Lines and text inside SOP Create with Purpose set to Guide. Can that be considered a good method for annotation? Or is there any special tools for creating annotations in LOPs?

What would you recommend?

The functionality looks great. Dont understand how you embedded HDA into the HIP file, but i will figure that out.

Hello!
Is there a way to make a... say Python button that will shuffle trough multiple "Ordered Menu" and generate random setting on each press? Or is there any other better way to achieve this?
For example:
You have a "Parameter Interface" with 2 drop-down menus. Like 1st=Shape and 2nd=Color.
And want to generate a random setting on each button press like (Cube, Yellow) or (Sphere, Red) and so on.
