There are not many houdini riggers so it would be a challenge. When the rigger is open mindet they will work with houdini otherwise maya.

the note is from H14 we are now at H16 so i think the notes from 2 years ago are for the movie production and not for games. for game development houdini is surly the way to go but you need skills!

sadly i haven't heard or read any news on this topic. whats clear is that for 3DS Max there will be a plugin but the question is when it will be released.

there was a simple plugin some time ago from ttvd but it has been taken down from github. []

i don't think that SESI will make a plugin for Modo because to spend the resources for game engine market makes much more sense for them. i hope somebody from the community will do something.
