Trying to Render a Simulation Nov. 10, 2025, 8:34 a.m.
I'm trying to render a ripple simulation in Mantra. I've created bgeos from the simulation, and I added an ocean shader. However, when I tried rendering it out in Mantra,I didn't see anything even in the alpha channel. How do I render out this simulation so I can actually see it in Mantra?

The only thing I was able to do was to build the scene again from scratch and reattach the shaders.

Hello all! I can see the materials just fine in the scene view of my file. However whenever I try rendering out the scene in the render view the render view shows up as gray and I get the error Error: /home/dlee/vanilla/dv18.0/hfx/houdini/vex/include/voplib.h:1840:13-24 Error 1066: Call To undefined isshadingRHS. Is this calling to a cache that isn't on my computer?
