Rising Sun Pictures
Rising Sun Pictures is collaborating with one of South Australia’s leading Universities, The University of South Australia, to give students of UniSA‘s Bachelor of Media Arts program a rare opportunity to learn from the best.
The Bachelor of Media Arts at UniSA is one of the only degree programs that embeds visual effects software such as Houdini in its teaching and thanks to this important collaboration with Rising Sun Pictures, students will now have the chance to learn how industry-standard tools are used to their maximum potential in the workplace.by Dr Josh McCarthy | UniSA lecturer in CGI for the Bachelor of Media Arts
Each year, selected third year students from Media Arts will undertake 18 units of their degree program, at the Adelaide studios of Rising Sun Pictures, learning dynamic effects and lighting from working artists and technical directors in our world-class effects team. Who knows, top students may even have the chance to land their first job in the film production industry when they graduate.
In addition to the undergraduate program, RSP has created a unique Graduate Certificate in Dynamic Effects and Lighting. This is a 12-week intensive program that immerses students in a simulated studio environment, while providing the necessary theoretical and practical skills to produce complex visual effects for film and screen. Taught exclusively at world-renowned visual effects studio, Rising Sun Pictures (RSP), students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to gain employment as visual effects specialists in the global visual effects industry.
