Color Management is the difference between professional and amateur renders

This course is designed to make the tricky and difficult topic of color management much easier.  The course starts off with a quick tip on how to set up ACES and OCIO with Houdini.  If you interested in viewing that quicktip for free, then check out this link:

The next thing we go over is the theory behind color spaces, gamut, gamma, 1D Luts, 2D luts, ICC profiles, and more.  The idea here is to build a foundation of knowledge that will then be put together during the third part of the course.

Finally, during the last section of the course, we meet our friend Hubert the Hawk.  The idea here is to take everything we just learned in theory and put it into practice.  Along the way, you'll learn about how to implement proper linear workflow, the differences between 8 & 32 bit imagery, why using 3D luts is better than your typical 2.2 gamma curve correction, preserving the image quality throughout the conversion process, and much more.
