The first video in this series introduces core Houdini concepts such as attribute manipulation, copying to points, and vdb / sdf basics. Students will learn how to procedurally create a customizable lava effect and a few tricks to render it.

In the second video of the series, we build upon these introductory techniques and make a more advanced setup using VOPs and the solver node. Students learn the basics of manipulating attributes to create abstract growth effects, but can apply these concepts to a variety of animated setups.
