This is an introductory lesson which showcases the power of Houdini VOPs. During this tutorial you will learn some of the basics of spline geometry creation including the use of the curveu attribute. You will then utilize VOPs to import point attributes and create animation on geometry. Creative usage of noise to move around lines will also be touched upon. No keyframes will be used, but rather a procedural approach using math to create a customizable line animation. Simple interface controls will be built to tweak animation parameters.

This technique is highly flexible and customizable across a large amount of geometry. Practical use cases include motion graphic animation and UI elements.
