Hello Labsters!
We're still in cleanup mode, redesigning our public outlets and rewriting documentation, but we also have a major announcement brewing. No spoilers yet, but we want to make sure everything lands right before we share more.
Some of us will be at GDC in March and EPC in April — come say hi if you're attending!

Modular Dungeon Generator
Simon Verstraete (aka Simon Houdini) recently made a tutorial on building a procedural dungeon level generator in Houdini, one that supports height variation and goes beyond the typical 2D grid approach. The system is fully modular: artists lay out input grids at the desired positions and heights, and the generator automatically places floors, walls, pillars, stairs, and fences. Worth a watch if you're into game-level workflows.
Node of the Month
Starting this month, we're highlighting a handy node you might have missed.
The Labs Align and Distribute is a simple utility that helps you line up and space out geometry. Pick an axis, choose whether to align by min, max, or center, and it snaps everything into place. It also handles even distribution between multiple objects, useful when you're working with modular pieces or you just need a clean layout.
Contact Us
We love seeing what you're building with Labs, and we'll keep sharing the highlights. If you're working on something cool, drop us a message. The best way to reach out is through Discord – our official SideFX server is public, and we’re there too.
See you next month — stay creative!
