Coral Diffusion
Motion Graphics

This project explores the use of Reaction Diffusion inside Copernicus to grow coral-like structures directly from animated images.

The setup demonstrates how a 2D reaction diffusion pattern can be turned into evolving geometry by feeding the COP image sequence into a SOP Solver. This approach allows animated textures to drive growth, branching, and organic forms that feel both natural and procedural.

To round out the workflow, the project includes a Solaris/Karma scene for lighting and rendering.

This project requires a SideFX Labs installation.

hmm using 2d images for a 3d corall still seems off. there should be a way for thing later in the growing proces to go beneath a previeus y position.
