Hi there!

Is there a way to dispatch the IFD creation on multiple computers when you submit a mantra rop to HQueue. For now it seems like the first computer that picks up the job has a child-job of “Generate IFDs” assign to it. I would like to spread this task on multiple computers in order to get the “mantra only computers” of the farm to be used faster.

Any ideas are welcome

well you can enable IFD creation inside mantra node and disable from Hrender Node but then you would have to submit those IFDs for rendering afterwards

Thanks for the fast answer! Is there a ways of submitting those ifds with parent-child dependencies so that HQueue would wait for the ifd to be completed before trying to render them with mantra. If not, is there at least a way of submitting those ifds within Houdini or I need to use the Python API to submit those jobs manually?
