I added a file node to direct baking to a large drive, but have to manually clean what Houdini 14 leaves in the temp folder unerased causing the system to lock out of space. These temp files are generated on Win7 under
C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Temp\
Any idea how to work around this?

You can also turn off any file writing for the simulation at the Autodop level, I think. Poke around in the cache area, there are some controls for this. Especially if you are controlling the where the sim data goes with the File node.

Thanks, Enivob: turned off “Allow Caching To Disk” and no more temp file.
Maybe a funny caption when needed to save to disk the bakes…
