When I export some geo from a Geo container that has been transformed or/and parented to some other transformed nodes, all transformations are completely ignored and the exported object ends up in it’s default position, scale and orientation.

Is there a way to export the transformed geo directly, without having to copy it into a new geo node and set the Transform "into this object" first ?

You could try this option on the "ROP Geometry Output SOP".

It’s a little better than merging into a new node, but I wonder why this is not the default export setting.

That’s what one needs almost every time when exporting.
