Softimage has the ability to offset a path in their Text Tool (to make the text wider, thicker), the equavalent of the path offset in Illustrator. How would one do that in Houdini preferably before the polyextrude is done.

PolyExpand 2D:
- Side Determination: Vertex Order
- Output Inside: Off
- Offset: tweak

then append Hole SOP to bridge the holes
