I got a sample file that mask( alpha and RGB) particle/points from the sample image ( default.pic) which is a butterfly. When I try the same thing myself with Houdini Apprentice, I just could not replicate this at all even I checked it again and again.

Two things that are not happening:
1. I can not mask the alpha completely. I still see some particle balls outside the butterfly shape.
2. I can't not see the color mapped at all either.

I am very new to Houdini and really like it but I am stuck, could someone help me plz?

I attached both files here:

Sample file: particleButterfly.hip
my file: Pp_test.hipnc

Thanks a million!

1. in scatter1 SOP increase attribute bias to 1
2. in copy1 SOP go to the Attribute Tab and check Use Template Point Attributes to inherit color and alpha (and other attrs)
