Dear people,
Not sure this is the right place but here we go:
Last year I purchased an Indy license for Houdini. After I installed the software on my own laptop and on the PC at my workplace, I got a new job, so I uninstalled Houdini on the workplace PC. The license stayed on my personal laptop but I got issues with the license of my Indy version. I tried many things but could not find a solution. After I uninstalled everything, I tried once more to install the new version of Houdini but I did not get it to work.
So, I installed the Houdini launcher. It says that the installation of Houdini needs repair. Once I choose repair, the application is installing Houdini. But after some time, the message appears:
Error while finalizing repair of Houdini, Enable to remove C:/Program Files/Side Effects Software/Houdini Server/hserver.exe. Access denied.
I think it has something to do with some administrator rights but once I unchecked any authorization rights on the files (for instance on the files inside the license server folder) the administrator rights keep turning back after a new attempt to install houdini.
See the attachment for the warning message, trying to install Houdini 21.0.440
Is there a solution to this problem? I just want to install a new version of Houdini with my working Indy license.
Thank you in advance!!
Best regards,
