Hi there,
Whenever I kick off a baked texture render (or just a normal render) I click the render button and then get no feedback as to whether the render is going or not. Just wondering if this is the norm for Houdini renders?
If I render to MPlay I can see it happening but then I have to save the file separately.
Thanks
Pete

On your mantra output rop under
Rendering -> Statistics
you can set Verbose Level to 3 or something and Check the Alfred Style Progress.
If you started houdini from command line it will show the progress there. it will also output additional information depending on the verbose level.
Also you can add a new pane “Render Scheduler” where it will list the running and finished renders.

What is the Alfred Style Progress?
This will show percentage output like:
ALF_PROGRESS 1%
ALF_PROGRESS 2%
ALF_PROGRESS 3%
in the terminal which started houdini. If you didnt start from a terminal there should be a a little popup window from houdini showing a log…
Alfred was the name of the pixar render manager. Now called Tractor i think.
