Hi guys,
Really hoping someone here has some ideas regarding the problem I'm facing.
I have a Solaris setup with some imported geometry, 3 lights, a material library with the most basic MTLX Standard Surface, an assignmaterial node, and a Karma node at the end.
I make two simple keyframes with the canera, select Render Frame Range (in my case 1-72) and hit Render to MPlay.
I am faced with the following error on the Karma Render node:
Warning
Found layers that share a common save path: layer created by '/stage/materiallibrary1' saving to './stage/materiallibrary1.usd'.
Saving to './stage/materiallibrary1_duplicate3.usd' instead.
Warning
Failed to complete render: exit code -1073740791
Use a Log Viewer with External Render Processes enabled for more information.
The minute I disabled either the materiallibrary or assignmaterial, the scene renders. I cannot for the life of me figure out what on earth is going on!
Any help or pointers would be hugely appreciated!
thanks
Cannot Render to MPlay on Karma Node...

Its just a guess but I think the way you merge the lights leads to the duplicate material primitives.
Try to connect after another, via a sublayer as described here (https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/solaris/tutorial-lighting-3.html)
or just have an input connection to the first light. This might also fix the error during rendering.
