Hello everyone!

I have been reading on an announcement for a new high-end GPU from Bolt Graphics, they claim that they are working on a Houdini integration for their Path tracer named Glowstick, anyone heard of it, or is it just hype?

Crossing fingers it actually works great for rendering.

I registered, the path tracer seems to exist, but I can't find any demo, and no price list yet, but yeah, fingers crossed! 😄

A FPGA implementation is nice but to bring it to silicon and make it in volume takes time.
The biggest challange will be sell in volume.

They say at the end of 2026 for the GPU, I know they recently gave 240,000 Euros to the Blender Foundation, which is in financial trouble, so they do have some funding, but other than that I could not find much about any of this, which is why I am asking in the forum!

this seems to only work with their own renderer which makes it a bit implausible to state it is 10x faster than a 5090 with a fraction of the powerusage. But let's see.
