Hi! I find strange things in trasforming objects in H12. When i activate keep position when parenting toggle and disconnect child node, houdini automaticaly pre-transform values, and i have to extract them manualy unlike in all previous versions. Is it new functionality bug or not?

Hi! I have a problem with dynamics. I tried to create simple animation of the lamp using rbd pin constraint, but I have some shaking in connection with lamp handle. Playing with parms don't give any result. Here is a project file…

Hi!!! I animate a character, and would like for more usability have in the viewport all phases of character. How to achieve this:

Thx DaJuice! I turned down Dicing flatness parm in mantra advanced dicing tab, and it looks much better.

Hi, need help! I have a trouble with SSS shader. When I render animation movie all parts that have sss shader are flickering What is the mistake that cause this effect? I tried everything to do and realy confused!

Hi, i would like to animate a character of my student project, so how it's posible to create levels of animation process. Something like on the first level i animate basic movements of the character on the second level i create detail animation, that will use the first level as a parent. And in any time i can back to the first level animation and change it, not destoying second lavel animation??? Can somebody show me direction to achieve this idea?
I tried a lot of combinations of nodes in CHOPs but can't solve the problem.

Yea! I learned some topics about it, but illuminance loop, as i understand, is using to export light pass from any source of light(area, point, spot) but i need to export light that reflected from another object in scene as single pass without pbr. Maybe you can give any advice or direction how to solve it!

Hi! I tried to render a sphere with sss shader and 2 planes: red and yellow.
I am interesting in indirect diffuse pass. Rendering using pbr takes to much time. Is there any ways to speed up the render time or methods to render indirect light without pbr?

Hi! I created smoke that is generated from sphere, used ray-trace and it takes a lot of time to render it. To much time…about 23 hrs per frame (640X360) Is it normaly?

OK! I am creating a subnet with very simple node-tree, clicking to create an asset and nothing happens, houdini stoping and crashing with no errors masseges. Sometimes I create an asset by restarting Houdini, but this gift can be one in 30 unsuccessful attempts.
Maybe it depends on my hardware, i confused!
The same trouble with rendering, I click a Mantra render button and nothing! I need to restart Houdini to render my scene!

Hi! I have problems with creating Digital Assets! When i trying to create it houdini is always crashing down! Maybe i can fix this using command line to create assets, so can i do it????

Thx Seb! Ok I ganerated normals from points, so how to change direction of normals to be 90 degrees to the ground??????????? Seems to me it's not complicated task, but i am confused!
