Ya I know it works with the new version but I am using 18.5.759 thats the license I have and I cant upgrade it.

I am having trouble hunting down the Houdini Engine for UE5. I am using Houdini 18.5.759 and UE5.03. Anyone have any luck finding a version that works?

Not sure why this is so difficult but inside Houdini my character UV’s are fine. I export the mesh out as a VAT softbody into UE5 and when I hookup the material its does not map correctly. What am I doing wrong?

Hi all,
I watched and followed along with the Titan series for using VAT with Characters. It was really great. But now I am having an issue exporting my character out.
I am getting the following error message on my VAT node when I plugin my input geo.
Warning
Do not include the vertex (or point) attribute "uv2" for Soft-Body Deformation (Soft) mode. It will be overwritten.
I assume that has something to do with my characters mapping or textures?
Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to export a fluid sim out to UE using VAT. It tells me I have a "error rendering child" a post render script.
Anyone ever run into this?

I am using Houdini 18.5.696 and Bridge 2021.1.0. I have installed the plugin inside Houdini. I can see the Megascans drop folder from the menu inside Houdini. When I go to export an assets from the Bridge it tells me that its exporting to Houdini....then it pops up the Houdini console window, that shows the following;

I actually found the issue. I noticed when I unchecked the cache node it worked fine. What was happening was the cache node was pointed to a incorrect folder.
Also what is the poly limit for using this?

Oh good to hear! Currently limit is your max possible texture width, e.g. 8192×99/3 = 270,336 triangles on the highest frame. If your input is not fully triangulated, you can triangulate it first to check the prim count. In an upcoming update ~December this year, this limit will be raised to 2.7 million though.
Why 8192x99/3, how did you know to use those numbers to get 270,336 tris?

I can not get this to work for the life of me. I followed along https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/vertex-animation-textures-for-unreal/ [www.sidefx.com] from this.
I keep getting the enclosed error message and I dont know what it means and where I need to change it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
As soon as I add my input geometry I get the warning on the VAT. I assume its something to do with the fliptank fluid?

Never mind I just did it inside Houdini. I am running 18.5.758 and it fixed the problem.

I am trying to export out a Dynamic Remeshing Fluid sim and I am getting a post render script error when using VAT.
I am using ver 18.5.696 of the Labs tools and Houdini FX 18.5.672 could that be the reason?

I am going to ask a silly question. Can these FX be done in Realtime? All the videos I have seen are in Game. Can you do the same thing but just in realtime?
