You could use the UV Layout SOP, turn off axis alignment, fixed scale to 1 and no rotations and let it create UDIMs.
Then use a vertex wrangle and modulo the uv.x position back into 0-1 range:
@uv.x = @uv.x % 1;

If your target is rendering, then you can also keep the UDIMs without the overlapping step. Afaik all renderers will use the uvs as if they were in 0-1 space unless you specifically tell them to go for UDIMs.

Quick question:
If one has more than one daily challenge win, does that mean 1 shirt / win ? And if that's the case would it be possible to enter multiple shirt sizes? E.g. to share them with colleagues and friends.

Man, what a month!

Huge props to SESI for the all of this. I think everyone will agree that this was an exhilerating experience.
It came out of nowhere and was very well organized and presented. And the nice highlight videos are the icing on the cake!

Thank you for reigniting the spark, that made us all fall in love with the 3d world in the first place.

And to all of you mad lads, who made it through: You f****ng rock!
It was pure joy to go through the entries every day and just be in awe of the ideas and creativity you put on the table.


Houly should totally become a thing like Inktober or Movember btw.
Q: “What's up with Kevin? He's acting weird and barely sleeps. Is he doing drugs?”
A: “No it's Houly. He'll be back to normal next month.”

Edit: I just noticed that Houly has gathered more posts in a month than Work in Progress in 11 years

Made a python script that ran for 20 minutes to collect all the names from all the days of the challenge. I hope I got everyone

Tommy visits the Abyss

Edit: Had wrong transparency sample settings and rerendered. Original submission (underground5.jpg) is still attached though.

Extras used: A normals texture and some very early prototypes (as subnets) from the the toolset I'm working on to generate the cave wall geometry - nothing fancy though. I also ran Tommy through mixamo to get the hanging pose done quickly.

The Long Journey

Edit: Attached HIP file. I didn't include the Tommy Autorig file because of its filesize. The cached Tommy geo is in the zip though.
The viewport proxy geo for the 2 mountains is there too, but the hires erosion steps need to be recached for rendering.
