Thanks Erik, I tried, and It works! but there are still some tiny areas on the displacement surface that are not static, these tiny areas are flashing all the time! I don't know why.Thank you!

Thanks Erik, yes indeed,I was animating the camera. As you suggest, I should do displacement in object space? But how to go about it? Is this the only way to fix this? Thank you!

I made an custom shader which had a displacement in it, when I was try to render out a image sequnence I found that the look of this material changes wildly which is not what I wanted, how can I make the displacement shader stop changing the look while rendering?

Thanks for the help here, i wonder why some nodes are hidden? Are these nodes no longer used often in Houdini 12? is it because there are new nodes that introduced in the new version of Houdini that better replaced the old ones?

Why can't I find vex_distant light shader in the shop network? By pressing the TAB button, I can't find it. Here is the screen shot from a tutorial, what listed in the TAB menu are different from mine, why? Has it disappeared in houdini 12.5 apprentice. Thank you in advance!

what if my image sequences start from “myimage.0000.tif”, instead of “myimage.0001.tif” ? I found that by using veriable $F4, Houdini can only read from “myimage.0001.tif” as first frame and omitted myimage.0000.tif.

Yes, I know this. what I am confused here about is , when I am doing the exact thing as you said ,houini only recognize the frame starting from the file name “000001”, not “000000”, and the actual first frame “000000” would be failed to import.

Thanks again for your patience. In addition, why are you using a $F4 in this case? What does the number “4 ”represent here? Thank you so much.

i am using a mantra surface node in the geometry, in which there is no diffuse map parameter to be found, what i found is a color map parameter instead, and there are three value field, should I type $F in them all? I just trying to import a video into a geometry. thank you!
