Work in Progress » Transform volume/density back to the origin deformed point position (Aurora)

Hi everyone, I really need help with my setup. Sorry for my english.
I'm working on a aurora borealis. View from space, so the aurora is pretty huge.
I'm working with points in a huge sphere (of course only in the north pole where the aurora is, I have a texture map for that). To be able to work with volumes without stepping problems in a small scale, I decided to divide the whole sphere into small sections, then moved all the points in a specific section to 0 in Y using a ‘Point SOP’ changing the P.y of each point to 0. That gives me a flat cloud of points. After that I used fluid source and volume vop to create the pattern I want with a color ramp and everything.
My problem is when I'm trying to move the volume box / density back to where the origin points where. It will need to move it back in Y direction, but because the original position used to be bended (part of a big sphere), I would need to bend the volume, right?
Do you think I should approach this in a different way?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

Did you figure it out?
I’m only able to export one frame, but I’d like to export the whole sequence of 100 frames. Anybody knows how to export it?
