working in an asset.
I use an Operator Path.
I want to read parameters from the node of the operator path is connect to.
if I use this vex code in a wrangler, it works:
“../node” is my operator path where I connect the node, and “parameter” the parameter I want to read.
but when I use that code into a node parameter, as a vex expression it does not work.
I mean "ch(“../”+ch(“../node”)+“/parameter”)"
thanks

Hi
I have a guidegroom, and include some curves applied into a guidepartition node.
when I try to make a render with arnold render engine, it says this error:
if I disable the guidepartition node, arnold works perfectly.
There is a way to use parting and use arnold at same time?
Thanks you

Hello Everybody
There is a way to exclude some points on my dynamic object to collide with the colliders?
and make it dynamically?
for example, sometime I have a groom or a cloth with interceptions problem, I would like to deactivate the collisions of those strands or mesh in some frames.
Thanks you

Technical Discussion » exclude for collisions

Hi
I am working on grooming, and I have some strands (polylines) with collisions problems in vellum.
I am working in a system in vex to measure the length of every strand (guides), so if a guide is longer than a threshold value in comparison with the original length, I would like to exclude that strand for the collision.
what is the best way to do that?
Thanks you

Hello
there is a way to create points based on uv coordinates?
I mean, I want to scatter points in a single polygon with a fracta noised pattern, but I dont want to use a texture. I guess I can use the UV to use as position in a vop fractal noise. can I?
Thanks you

but even with H17.0 and using the guides without almost any adjustment (just scaling the main control) , it says error trying to generate the rig.

Hello
I want to create a quadruped rig, using the autorig.
but when I generated the guides, there is a problem with the right rear leg.
it does not looks right by default.
it must looks like the left one, but just mirrored. is not?
Thanks

Hi Midasssilver
Thanks for your support.
I partially solved it using the “guideskinattriblookup” node.
I am still working on that.
Thanks you again.

Hi
I am importing curves from Maya, to be used as hairs guides.
how should I convert it?
I try to connect it in the input 2 of a hairgen node, but it requiere the skinprim attribute.
and
how can I attach those curves to my model in order to follow the geometry when I have an animation?
Thanks you
