Actually the edit node seems to be working fine, the only drawback is that it can delete points but I don't think you can add to them.
For that I'm just heading back down to the original curve op and adding there.
Thanks for the help.

I guess I could just make chunks of the track that I know will stay the same and then merge them and use the Join SOP to connect them?
http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini14.0/nodes/sop/join [sidefx.com]
When you say tweak them is that the kind of thing you were thinking of? Im just a little worried of it all getting a little over complicated…

Hi there,
I'm using the curve sop a bit lately to model a race track path and every now and then I've needed to tweak a large section of the track but there seems to be no way to transform multiple curve points at once.
Is this right? Say it aint so!
Thanks
PPete

Ahh Damn!
Well I guess it's probably a big ask getting that running on a mobile.
It would be nice if you didn't have to switch platforms though.

I get the error when I try to add a digital asset to my scene if the project platform is set to iOS.
This demo shows digital assets Houdini assets that appear to be live on iOS -

So I'm a little confused on the workflow.

Hi there,
I was having some troubles getting Houdini Engine to work when my platform is set to iOS. I keep getting HoudiniErrorUnsupportedPlatform' was thrown.
Am i doing something wrong, I was sure I'd seen some iOS demos showing live Digital Assets…
I'm on Unity3d 5.0.0f4
Installed Houdini Version: 14.0.291
Mac OSX 10.10.3
Thanks,
Pete

Hi there,
I'm really new to Houdini and Engine but so far I have to say it's blowing me away how cool it is!
I'm just trying to get my head around the workflow though and maybe someone can give me a helping hand.
To simplify it massively down, would you generally do something like this -

To simplify it massively down, would you generally do something like this -
- - Create a digital asset in Houdini
- Import the digital asset into Unity
- Use that asset to create a bunch of variations (by baking it out)
- Delete it from your scene
- Use the prefabs in the baked assets for your unity scenes
Thanks,
Pete.

Ah crap! So it doesn't like either of the graphics cards in this system
Well I guess I can handle reversing stuff while i'm learning…
Would an older version (like 13) be less picky with the graphics card?

Hi there,
Sorry if this is a super basic question 'cause I am new to houdini. Just wondering why this might happen, when I create a basic primitive, it starts off with normals facing the wrong way…
It seems fine if I put a reverse node in but it seems wrong.
What did I do to break it?
THanks,
Pete

Hi there,
I'm just getting into Houdini now and I was wondering if there's any information on the costs involved with using Houdini render cloud (which seems to be teamed up with Amazon).
I remember reading this ages ago but I haven't been able top find any info on pricing.

Hey just wondering, If I was going to upgrade my machine, would you suggest that I avoid AMD all together?
Does Houdini just not like them (on OSX)?

Damn
Well I managed to get a piece of software that would force macbook to use the internal GPU rather than the AMD one and that seems to work.
The performance is way worse but it might be enough for me to get by for the moment.

Hi there,
Just started playing around with Houdini Apprentice the other day and it looks great since the last time I tried it out but I'm just having some serious trouble selecting things and I think maybe Im doing something wrong? I just put down a grid object sand switched to face selection mode but it really doesn't seem to want to select in an intuitive way…
Check the video out if you have a sec, it would be great to get this sorted so I can get into this.
http://www.naffupdate.com/forumfiles/OSX%20Houdini.mov [naffupdate.com]
Also When I choose to render a region I get this -

(looks like everything is out of whack)
THanks
