2 things at least on file that you shared - you have a point_name attribute for the capture that doesn't exist - then initialize the transform on the rig doctor.

bind to import an attrib and bind export to export an attrib.
I would recommend reading/watching a beginner tutorial on how attributes work, how data flows, etc into H

Change the distance to outside geo or from surface, if you want the inside to work make your box bigger since you have a big radius. If you want the pt to work you need to change reference grp type to point, this will work with both btw.

That's not true, I did use read_alembic, and it need to be set up specially for maya, if not it won't load. Once you've managed to load the alembic and its points, it will be useless because Vray and Redshift won't render the instances, only Arnold does it. So, don't bother and don't waste time, use Blender (free and open source)and it will deal with the points and instances as usual.
That has nothing to do with BF, the render engines need to support it. And Actually, you can use Vray inside BF through USD nowadays.

For this, I would use either a wrangle and set the prim intrinsic (since you are dealing with pack geo) or a primitive sop.
Usually, the transform pieces sop I use to transfer the low res sim to the high res, together with the dop import.

I know what you are looking for and there is no straightforward way to translate a camera like that as of now. Not exactly like that, besides the options that have been mentioned here.

yep, a normal sop on points and one of the fields to v@up so in a wrangle or rename. All this attrib needs to be on points then you can use ctp as Tomas mentioned. post a hip if something isn't working. Also remember that the scatter align output attributes, f@pscale, and p@orient.

Just to add to what Matt said if you want to do more procedural or edit inside Maya. I would go with Bifrost USD where you have way more possibilities + procedural than inside Maya USD.
Here are 2 examples of reading the data from Solaris (From Matt example) and applying materials and also creating the GeomSubset yourself inside the graph (torus) to import for example. Basic setups.
