Same issue here, I don't remember to have this behavior on previous versions.
Any updates on that?

But I can not make the flip boundary SOP as "sink" work, it is not making my particles disappear using geometry or a sdf plugged in.
Anyone else having this issue?
I am using version build 435.

Update.
Oh I figured it out, my velocities were not being transfer through for some reason then I recreated the nodes and it seems to be working now.

In the old setup if I just have velocities on the source points on SOP level it carries to the just born particles in the sim DOP, with the new Flip SOP I could not find a way to do that since it is all encapsulated in to the Flip Boundary sop.
Is there a way to carry the velocities through without having to hack it?
I hope there was more control on this new workflow since I prefer to use those SOP DOPs tools, but unfortunately for the Flip SOP tools I am finding hard to use it.

I am using the flip SOP and flip boundary SOP to source my geo which has a initial velocity but I can't find a way to inject it on the source as an initial velocity attribute, does it need a velocity field for that or can it can sample it's points velocity? is there a easy way to do that?
And how to apply attributes on just born particles?
Thanks?

I mean how would be a good way to produce a vector field for motion blur from something like this?

How can I create a self container fluid collider with the new FLIP SOP collider tools?
I want to simulate my fluids inside a hollow sphere.
Any tips?

I got stuck on a situation where I have a nice grow effect using solver and morph VDB but I don't know how to generate a velocity field out of that for motion blur, any tips?

How can I create a collection from instances using VEXpression and filter by attributes like I would to in vex:
Colleciton1:
@variant==1
Collection2:
@variant==2
Collection3:
@variant==3
Or even
Collection1:
@P.y>0.5
@Collection2:
@P.y<0
Collection3:
@P.z>0
I could not find a proper way to access the complete array of instances trying to using a logic like this.
Any tips?
Thanks.

I am having this issue where once I save a USD file on disk I can't overwrite it while I don't quit and start Houdini again.
Any way to avoid that? I am on Windows 10 by the way.
Thanks.

I am having issues to save and render a particle layer as USD, on the farm I am having black frames without errors and my question is:
-What is the best and most efficient way to save particle cache in USD to render on the farm?
I did try to render $F4.usdc multiple frames and stitch them which seemed the most proper way but I am having these issues in several different shots.
Should I have just save on big USDC file for more consistent results?
Is it a bug on the build I am using which is 368 by the way on Windows.
Any tips would be welcome.

Yeah I noticed this behavior which is really annoying! But the performance is still the worst thing and it seems this performance issue is there from the begging I hope Sidefx is aware and can fix this.
I've read somewhere that there is a way to give a better performance "making your on collisions" but I didn't understand what it means and how to do that to fit this current SOP setup, if you have any tips feel welcome to share.
