Am trying to do some hard surface modeling to copy another AI generated model and rebuild topology. The AI model is noisy and bumpy, and none of the angles are right.
I find myself continually using polydraw to align edges and then edit to make further adjustments, back n forth, back n forth.
Is this a normal way to model? It seems laborious but I don't see another way to maintain straight edges and flat surfaces when building something without doing it manually...
Any advice on how to approach creating geometry in this fashion would be great. Thank you!
Can I use Polydraw/Edit back to back?

Hm, I don't quite understand.
Topobuild has various modes, including draw, move, and smooth.
Shouldn`t this be enough to do most of the work?
What function do you use in edit that you can`t do in Topobuild?
Cheers

Thank you for the help - I guess I am trying to use a transform handle on the points so that I can be more precise about where I put them...
But at present I just seem to be dragging points around. I am aware you can hold 'ctrl' to snap to angles, but I'm struggling with precise movements.
So I end up popping over to edit node to move things, then back to topobuild to continue building...
