I still can't open one more Houdini session by typing “houdini” in the Houdini console terminal in Mac OS X.

Can Houdini technicians help to check if this is a bug?

thanks!

I also have no issues.

Do you initially launch the first Houdini from a shell?
There's at least one school like the old school!

Dear Jeff and circusmonkey, thanks!

I still have the problem as posted, i.e. I can't start another Houdini from the
Houdini shell terminal.

pls see the error message:

(i'm using the latest Mac OS X Lion with the 64bit kernal enabled)

Thanks!

Dear Houdini technical team,

It seems the problem I reported in this post still exists for the latest Mac version of Houdini 11.1.62 on both my iMac and Macbook Pro.

Can you kindly help to check?

Thanks! - Ji

Hi,
I still have no issues what so ever running multiple versions of Houdini at one time. I am using a sept 2010 MBP.
The only things I do have issues with are using the mouse to dive inside vops and getting annoying menus pop up which used to crash Houdini and just recently on the last 11.0 build the Mplay window freezing up and refusing to close unless forced.
99 % of the time your issues will be down to user error or as my sup would say error 40. ie You sitting 40 inches away from the screen.
