I recently installed Houdini on my new Macbook Pro (Mountain Lion) and found a strange thing about the viewport display.
I didn't change any default setting. Just create a simple geometry, lets say a box. I turn on the “display normal” option and found all normals face outward which is correct. However, the geometry is black outside and bright inside. Then I added a single light for testing and found that where the light hit is black and not hit is bright. It's totally opposite!
The render result is correct. Something wrong with the viewport display.
I appreciate any ideas. Thanks.
