Is there a way I can freeze all transforms like in Soft? I've been digging everywhere in the object node and the creation node, the pivot (or center?) stays oblique-oriented and shifted :?

Yes Freeze Transforms injects a Transform SOP inside the object and resets the object's parameters.

The complement shelf tool is “Center Pivot” which does exactly what you'd expect: centre the object's pivot on the geometry centroid.
