Swimming noise even with rest

Hi All,

Having a senior moment, simple noise via attrib vop applied to points on the sphere and it swims > Ive done this in the past a million times. Except not in H15 . Im using a bind vop to read in rest and it should work

Any ideas ?

not sure exactly what you're after, however, it appears that the Sort sop should be placed *after* the rest position has been assigned. The noise pattern seems much more stable after that.

Hi john, thanks I had a confer with someone else also. It also seems having P wired in didn't help in the attribute vop. It would be great to know why the sort sop was throwing a spanner in the works.

since sort is giving completely different point order every frame
and you are copying rest from the first frame, it will me copied more or less randomly, pretty sure it's expected behavior and would behave the same in <H15

Thanks Tomas cannot believe I missed it, I even stepped through a few frames looking for a changing point count …must of had the wrong node highlighted

Error 30 as they say !
