I am trying to figure out why the mirror capture wieghts is not working correctly in my work. Any tips on how to use this tool?

Second model, first rig, not too bad. I thought I was far off.

i think my ik is all messed up, a later version has teeth but i have not fully captured the geometry. anyways the set up is the same
