Crowds for Feature Film 2
Crowds for Feature Film in Houdini 2 is the fast-paced follow up from Mikael Pettersén, who is a Lead Crowd Technical Director at MPC, and this time the focus is on ragdolls. With many years of experience from working with crowds and ragdolls in feature films Mikael will, in this course, share his knowledge of how to set up ragdoll simulations from scratch.
In this course you will, among other things, learn how to prepare your agents for ragdoll simulations by setting up collision layers and constraints, how to add dynamics to your crowd without using any shelf tools, how to access the agent rig, how to work with agent attribute arrays, different methods to trigger your agents into ragdolls, how to use motors and how to set up partial ragdolls.
It is strongly recommended that you watch part 1 before moving on to part 2. Like in the previous course the tempo is high, and it is split into short chapters to make it easy to revisit different topics. There will also be a tutorial scene for each chapter.
After finishing this course, you will have a deeper understanding of not only how ragdolls are implemented but, also about the crowd system in general.
