hi, I cached everything in the HIP file till the "pyro burst source" SOP in "Pyro Setup". Houdini always crashes at that node and freezes my entire PC in the process. I am using Houdini 18.5.462 with only Arnold and Labs installed on it.
Specs:
intel i5-4690k
16 GB Ram at 2448 Mhz
GTX 970

Hi there, first I would check if @startframe has cached on the points in the geometry spreadsheet.
Trailing Separation (Burst Shape > Trailing) may be too low for your specs. I would suggest trying the default value in this parameter (0.1) or higher. As a note, pyro burst source will take some time to process initially before you will be able to scrub interactively.
I created this project on a machine with these specs:
Ryzen Threadripper 3960x
128 GB RAM @ 3200 Mhz
2080 Ti
