TOTAL DURATION: 24m 40s

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a dynamic ground impact decal for Unreal Engine by simulating destruction effects in Houdini using SOPs, DOPs, and Copernicus. You’ll generate detailed game-ready maps, including height, normal, roughness, as well as different masks that you will enhance with procedural techniques for added realism. Finally, you'll bring everything into Unreal Engine, where you'll build advanced decal materials with parallax occlusion, shadow blending, and animated effects!

    Great lesson Jason.
I watched mainly for the Copernicus info, as I don't use Unreal.

Sorry you're experiencing that. I just tried the included hip on 20.5.278 and also on 21.0.440 and it works in both versions of Houdini
