In this multi-part Houdini tutorial series, we go over all of the aspects of creating a lightning effect in Houdini. In part 1 which releases today, we go over how to create a piece of code that creates lines from one geometry to another. Those lines then have noise applied to them to recreate the look of lightning. We then bundle the lightning noise tool that we created into a digital asset to be reused.
