Hey guys, I'm working on a shot for practice to learn Houdini. The shot is to have some short of object hit a parking garage. Attached is a picture of the plate along with a screenshot in houdini with some sketching of where I want the ball to hit the parking garage.

I'm basically not sure where to start on this. Right now I have the whole object fractured. Wouldn't it make sense for me to only have the parts that get hit be fractured? and when I have the whole object fractured the whole object fall b\c of gravity, how do I avoid this and only have gravity effect the chunks that get hit and fall?

Any input would be great, if you guys think I should start with a whole different approach I'm all ears.

Thanks.

The 3 dots are the rough points where the cannon ball will hit.
