I'm pretty new to HOUDINI and so…
I have a smoke object in a very basic AutoDop. If I go to visualization and check the available Parameters there is no visual confirmation in the viewport. And yes, the parameter are available; checked via RMB on the nodes. Where should I go from here?

So I loaded your scene, and I see right away that you have the Multi, density and Temperature visualization checked… and I can see them properly!

Do you see the Temperature?
