Very new to Houdini but was playing with the volcano tutorial using 12.5.533 and got to a point where I was looking to render. I set up my Mantra node and a pyro1 Shop node did a few test renders using Render View and everything looked good. I did a render output through the Mantra node and all my renders came out grey. I did some digging and couldn't find anything on the forums so I started from scratch to see if it was me. I found out it was from using depth map shadows in the lights and if I switched them to ray-trace it looked fine again. However I read that depth map was very computational for volumes but I can't figure out how to switch it back without looking grey again. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
