I am looking to make a butterfly proboscis.

I want it to be simple to control. Ideally it would have an extend/retract parameter and a target null so I can aim it at individual flowers.

basically I want it to be able to return to the same curled rest position without having to manually guide it there.

the ability to stretch is also a priority.

any suggestions?
