I'm wondering if it's possible to install the Apprentice license from the command line for scripting install purposes. I'm on OS X and want to avoid any interaction with the GUI installer.

There was a way, it was similar to installing Nuke from the Terminal but I can't find my notes currently.

Check out ‘Installing Nuke from the Terminal’ in it's documentation.

I can install Nuke from the terminal pretty easily and I can see the install working for Houdini's app:

sudo installer -pkg /Volumes/Nuke${NUKEVERSION}/Nuke${NUKEVERSION}-mac-x86-release-64.pkg -target /

but the way you license rlm for Nuke is by putting a .lic file in “/Library/Application Support/TheFoundry/RLM/”. I don't of a similar location for Houdini but I can start digging around.

edit: same user as cgbeige from work.
