LAVA TEMPERATURE ATTRIBUTE

Hey folks,

I am new to Houdini and try best to follow the “Houdini Lava Like a Boss” tutorial from BW Design. Its working fine but one thing drives me crazy. When it comes to the point where you set up your flipfluid in the AutoDopNetwork, he creates a POPVOP for the cooling. In that POPVOP the temperature has to drive the viscosity but the temperature (if it emitts from my object as particles) does not change. It stays at a random value. The viscosity remains also static. When I change the float default attribute in the bind node from 0 to 1 I get a linear viscosity that seemingly changes by time but my temp values are still static.

If anyone has an idea or knows what the problem is, I would appreciate all comments.

Thank you all

Kind regards

Irinel

if you created the temperature attribute before you go into dops …my guess would be that you are not subtracting or you are multiplying by 1 in the popvop. So your temperature always remains the same.

cheers
