Hello everyone. I have a question about houdini: can it be used for video editing?
I mean, can I use it to cut, join, superposed etc. videos?

till now NO NLE editing, there where some talking's about it.

there is a compositor but i don't think you can enjoy it to edit videos.

for import you have to convert the videos to image sequences can be done, commandline ffmpeg is your friend.
build a compositing setup and export.

whats also possible learn c++ implement the MLT Framework(https://www.mltframework.org/) [mltframework.org] and don't forget to create a cool fancy interface. DONE :-)
