When I first ran Houdini it couldn't connect to License server at ppd (hostname, not resolvable on my machine, no Samba, or DNS), so I adjusted the hostname to localhost. Now the License Server Administrator just keeps trying to connect, without ever timing out.
How can I adjust the Hostname of the License server, without starting the License Server Administrator?
Also how do you uninstall everything houdini has installed, so you can atleast start fresh.
Thanks redg
Houdini Starts, but License server not connecting.

Houdini needs to know what ip address your machine is, both to connect to the license server, and to validate the license.
What if you add the following line to your /etc/hosts files:
127.0.0.1 myhostname
(change myhostname to whatever your machine's name is)
Then set your license server to myhostname.
To delete Houdini and start fresh, just delete the directory you installed it into (/opt/hfs8.0.xxx by default), as well as /usr/lib/sesi, /etc/init.d/sesinetd and any links to it in /etc/rc?.d
