Hello fellow Houdini users!
I'm new here and I have not used houdini until recently.
I followed this tutorial on how to slice an object using a file node as input https://vimeo.com/153635514 [vimeo.com]
When I switch the file node to a alembic node the boolean function does not seem to work.
Do any of you guys know the reason for this or should I need to do something additional in order for it to work?

Boolean only operates on polygon primitives. By default the Alembic SOP loads geometry as Alembic packed primitives, for easier use managing large numbers of Alembic objects. You can get it to load the geometry as polygon primitives by setting “Load As” to “Unpacked Alembic Delayed Load Primitives” and setting “Poly Soup Primitives” to “No Poly Soup Primitives”. Hopefully that works.

Thanks!
That was probably the fastest response I have gotten in a software forum…from a staff at that!
Thank you!

Haha, no problem! First posts get moderated (to reduce spam), and the few that seem like they have relatively quick and easy ways to respond that I happen to know, I try to answer them immediately.
