Hello Houdini-Community,

I am new to Houdini and currently following the tutorial series “Houdini isn't scary” by nine between.
When it comes to rendering my particles (tubes copied to points) they are rendered as spheres.
It looks correctly in the scene view

but renders differently in the render view.

My first thought was that it is a problem of read/write permissions because when I started with windows 10 I couldn't render at all before I launched Houdini with admin rights but I have the same issue with linux.

I hope anybody can help me. Thanks in advance.

You've got ‘DYNAMIC_SPINKLES’ display flag enabled. Just turn off the blue flag and you should only see the tube particles. Having ‘DYNAMIC_SPRINKLES’ displayed with also render a second version of your particles, but without tubes. By default, mantra will render these particles as spheres.

Awesome, that was it! Thank you very much!
